Primary Medical Care Department started its activity on the basis of the contract with NHIC in 2006.
During these years, the family medicine at the Medical Center “Galaxia” became very demanded by the population of Chisinau municipality, so the number of the population served by the family doctors grew steadily. Today, 12 teams of family doctors are active, 12 sectors serve 22500 inhabitants of the entire municipality.
The sector of the family physician, which opened in 2010 in the Rezina branch with 2300 inhabitants, is successfully operating.
The Office of the Family Physician, opened in 2011 at the Bacioii-Noi str., Serves 3000 inhabitants, being a municipal territorial one.
The teams of family physicians provide first-line medical services, the surveillance of chronic diseases with major impact on public health, the supervision of pregnant women, children, the immune process and various prophylactic activities.
